MACHINE QUILTING BEGINNERS |
|
 This is the class you have been waiting for. Judie will take you through free motion quilting as well as using your walking foot effectively.
There is some preparation to be done before this class so you can spend the whole day learning the techniques.
You must have a machine in good working order, a walking foot and a darning or free motion foot for your machine. These do not often come as standard with a machine. TUTOR Judie B

Now is the time to go to the next level. Judie with her amazing tuition will guide you through to a more advanced free motion quilting style. Be warned though she will be offering an Advanced class ! Fiona has been making quilts for their 1976 pop up caravan " Bluebell". She has been using scrappy techniques.This is the second in the collection.So, from the "Bluebell Caravan Collection" we introduce " Fiona's Whirlygigs quilt.
Fiona says" Here's another project to use up your stash with no tricky or dificult piecing. There are no Y or set in seams.Come along and use up those fabrics you don't like anymore and make a beautiful scrap quilt. I have used anything and everything, country, pretty, brights and of course some uglies too!"

| Have you always wanted to learn to do Celtic work. This is the perfect project to get you started and of course with Judie B as the tutor you couldn't go wrong. This project is mainly hand work using the machine to sew the blocks and borders together.

|  This is a fabulous class for the beginner starting out but also for advanced stitchers to maximise and refresh their skills. You will always pick up something new at a class like this. Judie will show you how to maximise the use of your rotary cutter, quilting ruler and cutting board,quick and easy methods for creating flying geese units and understanding Rotary Cutting language such as half-square triangles just to name a few.

Jenny is a master Crazy Patchworker. Her work is just superb. This is a beautiful gentle art where the rule is if you think you have embellished enough add more! Each month she guides a group of ladies to extend their Crazy Patch skills. Join this group and have Jenny support you with this lovely technique.

TUITION- half year membership fee $50 per group ( July -December),

| SYLVIA'S BRIDAL SAMPLER CLUB |

With the success of the Jennifer Chiaverini Elm Creek novels we have decided to start a Sylvia's Bridal Sampler Club. This is the quilt the Elm Creek quilter's made for the character Sylvia in the books.
Similar in style to the Dear Jane quilt but with 6.5" blocks.
Just purchase your copy of the book from us for $64.95 and come along on the 4th Thursday of the month from 9.30am - 12.30pm and start making the block of your own choosing.We are not going to be precious about this. You can either machine stitch or hand stitch your blocks or a mix of both.
We are planning that this will be a self mentoring group but of course the staff are always happy to give help and advice.
Make this quilt in any colour combination you choose even Asian prints if that is your thing!
THIS GROUP WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR

| PAPER PIECING or PIES AND TARTS CLUB |
| 
Join this hand stitching group and come along on the last Friday of the month to get on with your stitching. This club is free just bring along your Paper peicing hand sewing requirements This group was previuosly for the Pies and TArst girls but now we aopening it up to any paper peicing hand work. Come along and we'll give you lots of tips to help you along the way. Our classroom is a lovely light space and is of course airconditioned. A great place to spend some time stitching with like minded ladies.

| ANGELS'A'STITCHING friendship group |
|  3rd Thursday of the month Come alone or bring a friend and enjoy stitching in our class room. We charge $5 per person which goes into our piggy bank to go to Juvenile Diabetes Research.
There is no tutor available at this time but the girls are always happy to give advice where they can. This group is for hand sewing. That way we don't have to limit numbers. What a great way to catch up with friends or even for those who are on holidays or passing through our lovely Sunshine Coast. We are always happy for anyone to use our class room at no charge for pinning a quilt subject to classes. Have a chat to us about this.

Booking Into A Workshop: We are happy to take your booking by telephone 5477 0700.Once we have received your 50% deposit you are assured of a place. At least 1 week before your class come in and pay the balance of your fees and recieve your requirements list.
If we need to cancel the class, deposits will be fully refunded.
Please be aware that deposits are
non-refundable if you cancel your booking.
We always love to help with selecting fabrics for your class and you will enjoy your class more if you are well prepared beforehand..
We encourage you to label your belongings clearly to avoid confusion.

LINUS GROUP- Now meets at the shop in the classroom on the 1st Monday of the month.Find out more about that here.
SUE DALEY EVENING- Sue is coming to share her journey through patchwork with us on July 7th Wednesday at 7pm. Come along and enjoy an evening playing ladies. We will have a lucky door prize as well as some bubbles. Pay $5 and receive this back as a credit to spend on the night. Those who have heard Sue speak before will know what fun to expect. Sue will also show her new designs.
KELLIE WULFSOHN - from Don't Look Now will be teaching again in October. This class is full but we have booked her again for April next year! Watch out for our Christmas Party date planning something very special!
So now we have finished just about planning for this year before we know it it will be 2011.
