| | | | | | PATCHWORK with BUSY FINGERS |
|
We are lucky enough to have Sue Daley from Patchwork with Busy Fingers living nearby and also to call her a mate! Sue recently came to the shop to spend an evening sharing her quilts and patterns with a group of very enthusiastic ladies. Have a look at all the photos HERE. We at the Patchwork Angel just love Sue's technique of paper piecing.
Here is Sue talking about her new 1/2 inch hexagon papers and templates. And of course her new 1/4 paper pieces.( Need I say there is not a template for those!) Sue showed this lovely Red and White version of her FLORAL LANTERNS quilt and I have to say I fell in love!! Sue has developed one of her clever PLAYING with PAPER PACKS as a starter for this quilt too.
If you want to get started on one of Sue's designs with Reproduction fabrics ( I explained to my darlng naive Uncle that this has nothing to do with babies) why not grab a Fat Quarter bundle like this.

If you have been checking our BLOG then you will know I have a weakness for Baboushka dolls after my dad brought some back for me from a trip he made when I was a little girl.
My Darling Uncle gave me another set when I visited him in Sydney recently. So when we got this cute stitchery kit in guess who put their hand up to make the sample for the shop.
This is a great kit for a beginner stitcher. pattern comes pre printed and the threads are all there including the needle ready to go. The kit is only $16.95. Ok so I know I am obsessed! I have also been working on my version of the BABOUSHKA TREE QUILT

"Bearly an Angel" no I'm not talking about me!!! While in Sydney I got to meet Liz from Teddlywinks and have a couple of her new patterns in stock. This one Bearly Angels is such a cutie for a new family member.
Liz says " take away the halos and add wands for a Bearly Fairies quilt" I don't know I think I would have had to add little horns for my boys as "Bearly Devils".

Binding on the left cut and ready to add to a quilt. Oh my I do feel a little exposed now. Now for a presie for you. Here are lots of easy quick FREE patterns from Henry Glass Fabrics.

| | Well, as you know it has been a busy time for the last 2 months with lots happening. The upside is lots of lovely new patterns and fabrics in store. For those who can't get to the shop you will know that we don't put our fabrics on the website. This is because our fabrics just turn over too quickly to keep up with. Having said that if you are after a Jelly roll , layer cake or fabric range always feel free to give us a call or email us. We can create a special order on the website just for you. We are dleighted to once again have the OWL QUILT. Cause as we all know Owls are just so very in at the moment. There isi also Kellie Wulfsohn's newAlphabet Soup pattern too. So have a peek at that. We also have Kellie's favorite Steam a Seam instock and on the website too. The cheeky Kellie is coming to teach October (maybe a couple of spaces) but I have booked her again for April next year so if you would like to be part of one of her workshops contact us to go on the waiting list. As I spoke about earlier in this Newsletter Sue from Patchwork with Busy Fingers was at the shop but we also carry her whole range of her products so if it's papers or templates our are after then The Patchwork Angel is the place. So until next month, Keep on Stitching!
Happy Stitching, Penny, Lee, Fiona, Jenny and Beth

How could I have nearly forgotten Kellie's New Worry Dolls.
